Karaoke
There are three Featherstone birthdays in March: Jon, his brother Luke and his mom Marianne. Jon found a sweet Karaoke software a few weeks ago and decided to put some songs together so we could sing our hearts out at the family birthday party. Jon is a genius and figured out how to run this software (which was free). The cool part about it is you can use any song you want on this software. Jon spent hours the week before going through each of the favorite songs his family chose, marking the syllables, syncronizing the lyrics with the music, and getting everything ready. I'm telling you, all the work paid off BIG time. Just check out these videos and pics to see just how much fun we had. (As a side note, one of the first dates Jon took me on was to a Korean Karaoke Bar....hehehhe. Honestly, this is going to sound sappy, I realized I was falling in love with him when he sang the song "Africa" that he and his family are singing in the video above). You will notice that Em was also getting into it with all her dance moves!
A special dance move by Kate and Jama
Jon and his parents sang a classic song by Simon and Garfunkel "Only Living Boy in New York." They sounded awesome.
Oh yeah, rocking out to Anberlin's "A Whisper and a Clamor."
Jon and I sang one of our favorite songs by Angels and Airwaves "Secret Crowds."

Jon Bon was a nickname his family called him when he was little. I liked it and decided it would cover his entire cake!
There are always plenty of cakes during the month of March in the Feathie household. Here Em is helping them all blow out their candles on the Baskin Robbins ice cream cake....a tradition for Luke's bday. Yum yum. I hope the tradition never stops! Em couldn't get enough cake either. And yes, she doesn't have a diaper on in this picture and was completely wired after eating cake. I love life with little kids!
Lastly, an amazing dance performance to Muse's "Supermassive Blackholes" (and yes a few of those dancing to this song are madly in love with Edward Cullen)
The Marsden family birthday month is in April so we've decided that we have to do this at one of the bday parties...YEAH
SMILE!

Cousin Andrew
Emmie has been talking a lot lately. I caught a couple of new words on camera. First she says the name of her cousin in Chicago, Baby Andrew. We have a picture of him on our fridge that Emmie loves to look at. She crinkles up her nose and says "bebe Annew" Then she says her latest name for me :)

Happy Birthday Jonny Bon!
Today is Jon's birthday. Yes, he feels old. But I asked him this morning if he thought he would be where he is right now in life. He said "I hoped that I would be!" I am glad that he feels that way. I can't imagine my life without "Jonny Bon" (the nickname I found out his family called him when he was little). He means everything to me. Happy Birthday Noj!
This is usually the state of Em after 3 hours of church and Daddy got a birthday snuggle out of it. Em loves her dada.

More Laughing
Isn't this picture precious? I took these girls to the park yesterday and
Charley was so cute to guide Emmie and hold her hand.
This time it's laughing cousins at the park. So cute.
Sometimes she dragged her (literally--one time Em's face was in the bark!)
Later that day we had some fun with Aunt Shelby. Oh wow. Yes, Shelbs did fit in the book shelf that Emmie emptied. I have to say that spending a day with kids will get you to do the weirdest things!
Emmie doo falling out of the shelf onto the mess of books that was her idea to begin with. She would pick up one book, open it and throw it aside. Sometimes she would hand me one to read to her. I would read the title of the book and she would grab it out of my hands, throw it and crawl further into the book shelf to grab the remainder of the books that she hadn't "read."
Charley wasn't too keen on the idea of crawling into a dark, small space. She wanted to look at this picture after I took it. When she saw the look on her face in the picture, she pulled a similar face and she seemed to be thinking "yeah, that is how I felt...that was not fun!"
And yes, I did crawl into the cupboard too! My long "Marsden arms" as Jon calls them, did fit and with room to spare! hahahah
And the 20+ year old books at my mom's house survive yet another day of mistreatment!
